Alzheimer’s disease: How Precision Medicine Could Reverse Cognitive Decline

Dr. Dale Bredesen spoke with Pharmaceutical Technology’s Darcy Jimenez about the successful early results of a proof-of-concept study he and his co-authors posted in medRxiv, where 84% of the participants showed a marked improvement and proved that Alzheimer’s could be reversed. The trial used a personalized and precision medicine approach to identify and target the drivers of cognitive decline. Dr. Bredesen also discussed the “deep dive” into each individual’s subtype of Alzheimer’s disease to determine the best course of treatment for that individual.
